What drives us

Five Pillars

These are not slogans. They are what this church organises its life around.

01

Conversion

1 Peter 1:23

We witness, testify and preach for a decision. The bulk of the congregation consists of people converted here by the power of God.

02

The Local Church

Ephesians 1:22–23

God has placed everything necessary to accomplish His will in the setting of the local church.

03

Discipleship

Matthew 28:19–20

The highest calling of a pastor and congregation is to make disciples.

04

Church Planting

Matthew 9:37–38

Couples are sent to plant new congregations, reproducing the vision in a new area.

05

World Evangelism

Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19

The Gospel taken outside the four walls is the absolute foundation of the church. We pray, train, invest, send and support workers to go into all the world.

What we believe

Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God the Father is Creator of the universe, who created man in His own image for fellowship and, after the fall, called man back to Himself through Christ. Jesus Christ is eternally God, incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, forever one Christ with two natures, God and man, in one Person. The Holy Spirit is God, Lord and giver of life, given to the Church in fullness at Pentecost, empowering the saints for service and witness. We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues and subsequent to conversion, releases the fullness of the Spirit in the life of the believer.

We hold the Bible, Old and New Testament, to be the only infallible, inspired Word of God — our ultimate, final and eternal authority in all matters of faith and practice.

We believe Christ’s vicarious death on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of the whole world, and that healing of body, soul and spirit is provided in the atonement. Salvation is a free gift of God, appropriated by faith through repentance, belief and personal acceptance of Christ as Lord and Savior. The Christian life that follows is one of consecration, devotion and holiness, carrying assured promises of eternal blessing for all who abide in Christ.

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, and that every believer born of the Spirit has a God-designated place within it. We observe the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

And we look for the bodily, personal second coming of Christ, the resurrection of the saints, the millennium, and the final judgment.
